Billie Jean
AGE: 8 Months
SEX: Female
BREED: Anatolian Shepherd MixMeet Billie Jean—a spirited, delightful lady who’s guaranteed to steal your heart! With her bubbly personality and infectious enthusiasm, she’s the perfect companion for anyone looking for a little extra joy in their life. Billie absolutely adores being around her people, and though she’s still learning that jumping up isn’t the best way to say “hello,” she’s quickly mastering the art of sitting nicely for some well-deserved love and treats. Billie is highly intelligent and eager to please, making her a fast learner. She’s already making great strides in her leash training and is proving to be an absolute star in her foster home. She’s also completely comfortable around the cat and loves picking up new playtime tricks from her canine housemates. Billie would thrive in a home with another dog to help her continue learning and growing. Potty training is going wonderfully too—she’s well on her way to mastering the routine, and with consistent practice, she’ll have it down perfectly in no time. When it’s time to settle in her crate, Billie is a champ, only giving a short whine before curling up for a peaceful nap. Her ears, with their adorable, independent flair, are always ready to flap in the breeze, adding to her charming, playful spirit. Billie Jean is a sweet, spunky lady with a growing personality and endless potential. She’s ready to find her forever home and bring all the love, laughter, and joy she can. Don’t miss out on the chance to welcome this precious girl into your life!
Important Considerations for Billie Jean's Future Home:
Fencing: Billie Jean is a bit of an escape artist, so a tall, secure fence is essential to keep her safe and sound.
Doggy Playmate: A confident, outgoing dog in the home would be a wonderful companion for Billie Jean, providing her with social interaction and opportunities for playful learning.

Brownie aka Dutchess
AGE: 7 Months
SEX: Female
BREED: Great Dane/Pitbull MixHave you ever dreamt of having your very own house pony? Well, look no further! Hi, my name is Dutchess. I’m a Great Dane/Pitbull mix, but in looks and personality I’m all Dane! I am spayed and fully vaccinated, crate trained, and potty trained. I’m 7 months old and 70 pounds. I’m still figuring out my coordination with my puppy energy and long legs - which makes for some hilarious antics! I’m very loving and really enjoy people snuggling me. I’m a little shy at first, but once I know you’re a good person I’ll be in your lap! I love other dogs once I’ve had a slow introduction. I haven’t been around cats, but my foster mom says I’d probably be good with them. My foster family has chickens, and I’m really not interested in them. I still need some work on socialization, but with love and patience I know I can get there. I would be best in a household with bigger kids because of my size and puppy energy. I’d love a yard to play in, but if you wouldn’t mind a few walks a day that could work too! I would love to have the gift of a forever home this Christmas. I have a big heart to go with this big body. Even though I won’t fit under your tree, I’d sure like a place on your couch.

Chase
AGE: 1 Year
SEX: Male
BREED: Hound Mix
Hi, I’m Chase, and I'm about a year old and possible Rottweiler mix! (The shelter had me listed as a hound, but my brother had his DNA test done and was 52% Rottweiler!) I currently weigh about 45 pounds and will likely not get much bigger. I arrived to KCK extremely timid and scared, but since making my freedom ride and staying with my foster parents, I’ve become a lot more confident and outgoing—once I get to know you. I am neutered, nearly potty trained, love playing with other dogs (I’m a dog’s dog), and behave like a champ in my crate. I’ve been told I have the cutest puppy face with the nicest dark eyeliner. I’m not destructive and have started to really enjoy walks through the neighborhood. As much as I love my foster paw-rents, I would really love to find my fur-ever family! -
Chip
AGE: 7 Months
SEX: Male
BREED: Great Dane/Pitbull MixAnd now, meet Chip—the charming 7-month-old, 65-pound gentle giant who is guaranteed to steal your heart! This big, lovable pup is both potty trained and crate trained, making him an easy addition to any home. In less than 24 hours, he’s already made himself comfortable, trying to be my lap buddy and even squeezing behind me on the recliner for some extra cuddle space. (Yes, he’s already learning how to be the ultimate snuggle buddy!)
Though Chip may start off a little shy, his gentle demeanor and affectionate nature shine through as he settles in. And don't let the pink collar fool you—real boys wear pink! Chip is just as confident as he is sweet, and he’s going to make one lucky family very happy.

Cisco
AGE: 5 Months
SEX: Male
BREED: Pitbull Terrier MixMeet Cisco!! This handsome boy has all the love and play to give anytime of the day! He is very curious and loves to follow anyone around to see what they are up too. We have gotten our potty training down and now giving us signals when he needs to go out. He doesn't like being put in his kennel but is such a good boy and sleeps in there the whole night without a peep. With 2 little ones, he is respectful in trying not to knock them over but wants to play with them anytime he can. My little 10 month old loves to feed Cisco the rest of his meals from the high chair and tries to share his toys, even ones the dog isn't supposed to have haha. And Cisco is dying for one of the kitties to come say hi but they just tease him from the other side of the gate. Cisco would love to find his forever family. He would do great with a family who is active and has kids. He does love his treats and listens really well as soon as we ask him to drop something or to stop a behavior. This sweet boy is ready to find his people :)

Cleopatra aka Chloe
AGE: 8 Months
SEX: Female
BREED: Lab MixMeet Cleopatra! Hi there, I’m Cleopatra—a mixed breed sweetheart looking for a patient and loving forever home. I may need a little extra support because I have separation anxiety, but I promise, once I warm up to you, my love is unconditional. My favorite things in the world are pup cups and cheese (yum!), and I get along great with small children and other pets. I’m still working on my potty training, but I’ve already mastered using a doggie door! I’ll need someone who’s willing to be patient and help me continue learning and growing. If I seem skittish, please know it’s not you—it’s just me learning to trust. I’m a little wary of men right now, but with kind words and gentle care, I can become your best friend. On walks, I prefer to stay close, either behind or beside you, so please be patient as I build my confidence. Snuggles, belly rubs, and curling up in my person’s spot are my favorite ways to relax. While I don’t care much for bones yet, I do think I’d thrive in a home with another dog. Having a canine friend around would help me feel secure and settle in faster. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who needs a little extra care, I’m the perfect match for you. Let’s be best friends!

Jackson
AGE: 1 Year
SEX: Male
BREED: Boxer MixMeet Jackson! He is the perfect gentleman in his crate and has been the best boy with potty training! He had a small tinkle the first day, but has since been accident free! He is still a puppy and is currently going through his mouthing stage; we are working hard to redirect those sharp baby teeth! He responds well to correction, when needed, and he is in the early stages of learning the basic sit, down, and stay commands! This smart boy has so much love to give! Once we find the right family for him, they will have a lifelong member of their crew that will gladly be a couch potato or have all cylinders running in order to keep up with all your adventures! He is also amazing with kids, dogs, and people (if taken slow to warm up)! I think he would do best in a household that has a strong confident foundation so he knows he can't get away with any naughty behavior!

Jedidiah
AGE: 1 Year
SEX: Male
BREED: Pitbull/Lab MixThis handsome guy is Jedidiah, Jed, Jeddy, and handsome bo-bandsome (as his foster mom calls him.) Jed is a VERY sweet and intellegent guy who is almost 2 years old. Despite his age on paper, this guy is VERY much a puppy trapped inside a big kid body. He is re-learning what it is like to be in a house, and with other dogs after being in the shelter for many months. He does great with going potty outside and is completely crate trained. However, we are still working on jumping, not using shoes and other household items as chew toys, as well as basic home manners. This guy is SO receptive to corrections and redirections and will be very easy to train into your routine. Because this big guy thinks he is a puppy, we recommend a home with bigger kiddos only who are used to having bigger dogs until he can curb his jumping even more. BUT he LOVES everyone he meets and is just a bundle of love. Jed would do well with a submissive dog and needs someone who is ready for some constant playing because this guy has some energy! He loves the cat, but again does not realize his size so he may be a little intimidating for cats (unless you have one ready to hand out a correction) All in all Jedidiah is a true good boy through and through, he just needs a family ready to give him a little bit of consistency and TLC and we promise he will give you a lifetime of love back!
-
Luigi
AGE: 8 Months
SEX: Male
BREED: Shepherd MixMeet Luigi a sweet, 8month old possible Shepard or Huntaway mix. This little man has a sweet and mellow personality and is pretty confident for his young self. He loves to play with our 65lb pup, sleeps in his crate through the night and really enjoys meal time!! He is doing great with potty training and learning basic commands like sit and off. He is easy going and great with everyone in our family including our three kids ages 5-12. Luigi does have a unique walk as you will notice when you meet him, when he was examined at the vet and it was determined that he suffered a fracture that healed improperly. The vet also thought Luigi should love a long and normal life, just may have a little bit of a jig to his walk! Luigi is going to be a wonderful and loving addition to his furever family and we hope that’s you!

Merida
AGE: 9 Months
SEX: Female
BREED: Mixed BreedMeet Merida! This medium sized cutie has the most perfect dorito shaped ears you ever did see. When paired with the cutest chompies for yummy food it's hard not to swoon over her. She enjoys spending her days snuggled up next to you on the couch and napping. As she warms up she may become more adventurous and playful (she's still a puppy) but at the current time she really just wants to be by her person. Her and her two sisters had been in the shelter since they were 1.5 months old until they were about 7 months when Karl's picked them up. Because of this she does have some resource guarding towards other pups with food and issues with other pups coming around her crate or a spot she's curled up in when she's relaxing. I would also be on the look out for her resource guarding attention as your relationship grows. But outside of those scenarios she has been coexisting and playing her foster sister perfectly fine. She can be dog selective with certain personalities so a meet and greet with an existing pup if there is one is advised (but she got along with her current crazy foster sister and neighbor dog right away so don't let that sway you). She's oh so sweet, very food motivated and is eager to please. Consider giving this sweet girl her furever home!

Midnight aka Clementine
AGE: 7 Months
SEX: Female
BREED: Great Dane/PitbullClementine is a sweet as can be. She is shy at first and is working on building her confidence. She wasn’t exposed to the world so she is learning what it’s like outside the house and learning how to be a dog.
Clementine likes to play with other dogs once introduced probably. She loves playing with my friend’s English bulldog and lab. We’ve been going to the dog park so she can meet dogs and people. She is still a little hesitant about the people but likes the dogs. She would be great in a house with other dogs. She was raised with kids and would be good with kids over the age of 6. It might take a few days before she is comfortable in her new home but once she is settled, she is an amazing dog. Clementine is VERY loyal and will love you unconditionally. She really likes to cuddle once she gets all her energy out.
She is all puppy. She likes chewing bones, playing with toys and tennis balls. She really likes the treat toys and puzzles. Clementine can be silly running around with the zoomies and will keep you laughing.
She is clicker trained and is VERY smart. She knows sit, wait, paw, lay and turn around. She is SO eager to learn and make you proud of her. She is bell trained to let you know she needs to go potty. She is building confidence through scent training and is making huge progress on building confidence. She absolutely LOVES scent training. Don’t worry if you don’t know what scent training is, I’ll show you so you can continue her training. She loves playing in the backyard so this is a must in her new home.
Do you want the sweetest puppy who will love you forever? That’s our sweet Clementine.

Molly
AGE: 1 Year
SEX: Female
BREED: Pitbull MixThis affectionate 1-year-old medium-sized girl has traveled all the way from Texas, and she’s brimming with love for everyone she meets! She’s a calm and content companion who will sit for hours, happily soaking up head scratches. Not only does she adore people, but she’s also great with other dogs and cats, though she can be a bit territorial at times. She’s a quick learner and has an eager-to-please nature, making her easily corrected with gentle guidance. While she has a few quirky traits that only add to her charm, she can be a bit cautious about new experiences. She’s hesitant around certain flooring textures, particularly hardwood floors, and may take her time to adjust. She’s also a bit nervous around passing cars on walks, but with patient encouragement, she shows remarkable bravery and does wonderfully on a leash. In short, this sweet girl has so much love to give, and with the right family, she’ll thrive and continue to blossom into the loving companion she was meant to be.

Pickles
AGE: 10 Months
SEX: Male
BREED: Pitbull/Great Dane MixPickles is a Pitbull, Staffordshire terrier, American Bulldog, Boxer, Great Dane mix. So.. all the big lovey pups in one! And it really shows! Pickles is being fostered with 2 male dogs (1 medium, 1 large,) teens, and a toddler (1.5yo) and fits right in with everyone. He is a VERY smart pup and extremely motivated to learn. He has learned sit, stay, off, and how to play fetch in less than a week! He is currently working on walking on leash without a lead and how to show he needs to go out for potties (no accidents inside though!) He loves to play outside and he does not shy away from a good game of chase! While outside he can be very energetic and loves to show off and is a big talker, but he is very calm while indoors. He will play a game of tug o war with the other dogs and roll a ball around on the hard wood, but he mostly just wants to snuggle. He is kennel trained and sleeps in his own bed with no issues. Pickles loves to cuddle, give lots of kisses, and follow his person wherever they go! If you're looking for a loyal, snuggly, smart bestie, Pickles is your guy!

Rocky
AGE: 1 Year
SEX: Male
BREED: Retriever/Mixed BreedMeet Rocky (nicknamed Gator)! He's a 1 year old lab and possibly belgian malinois mix who currently weighs about 50 lbs.
He is so sweet, loves to have his people around him, and is great with other dogs and kids. He's very curious and laid back, loves playtime, naptime, his toys, and his blanket. He can be a bit clumsy and goofy, and makes "chomping" noises to get your (or his dog pal's) attention. He is housebroken and seems like he will be very easy to train due to how attentive and inquisitive he is. He's treat motivated and has been working to learn basic commands. -
Sally
AGE: 1 Year
SEX: Female
BREED: Terrier MixHello, my name is Sally. I am very pleased to meet you, but I am very shy at first, so it may not look like it. After a few days, I will get more comfortable with you, and you will see the joyous, curious, and loving girl I am. My original parent passed away this summer and I have been looking for a new family since. I am potty trained, indifferent to cats, and good with other dogs. I am a smart girl and I look forward to getting basic training. I am crazy about my foster mom and have met many new people while with my foster parents. They all tell me how sweet and cute I am, but I don't let it go to my head. However, I do know I will be a great dog and bring joy to my new forever family.

Skipper
AGE: 1 Year
SEX: Female
BREED: Pitbull MixSkipper is a sweet, 1-year-old terrier mix who is still settling into her new home and learning to trust the world around her. Though she’s a little nervous at first, once she gets comfortable, she’s a playful and affectionate pup who loves to wag her tail and enjoys the company of other dogs. She’s particularly food-motivated, which makes training and bonding a breeze! Skipper prefers to eat in her kennel, away from other dogs, so you’ll often find her happily munching away in her quiet space. She’s also learning how to ask to go outside, though she’s had a few accidents in the house while figuring out the routine. With a little patience and understanding, Skipper is on her way to becoming a well-behaved and loving companion. Skipper is very interested in cats, but she means them no harm—she’s just curious and will chase after them if they run. If you catch her in the act and tell her “NO,” she listens well, though her curiosity can still be a bit of a problem when the cats need some peace. While Skipper can be shy around new people, she’s a fast learner and appreciates a calm approach. She’s a little unsure of her current human dad, but once he got down to her level and offered an open hand, she warmed up quickly. Skipper is more comfortable with other dogs and loves to play outside with them, but she’s still building confidence when it comes to people. She’s a sensitive soul who enjoys chin scratches but doesn’t like being petted from above. Sudden movements can startle her, so it’s best to approach her gently and give her the time she needs to feel safe. If you’re looking for a playful, sweet-natured dog who just needs a little time and space to build trust, Skipper might be the perfect match for you. She’s ready to join a family that will give her the patience and love she deserves while helping her grow into the confident, affectionate dog she’s meant to be!

Teddy Graham
AGE: 9 Months
SEX: Male
BREED: Mixed Breed
Teddy is growing up ! He’s an energetic boy who also loves a cool nap, literally likes to lay on the A/C vents. He is a great alert dog and found his bark quickly. He is working on his socialization face to face with people and dogs he doesn’t know. Turns out he’s more afraid in bigger social settings. Slow intros are a big must for Teddy (Kids tend to make him more nervous so far) He’s very good in the comfort of our home with our dogs (small and big) as well as cat friendly, he doesn’t really have any interest in ours. Teddy loves having doggy siblings to play with even though he initially gives off the ‘I don’t like anyone vibes’. You can tell him to grab a toy if siblings are tuckered out and he will. He’s pretty much mastered the “All Done”, “sit”, and “come” commands. “Lay down” we have selective hearing sometimes. He does “leave it” really well on our walks. He loves walks and does really well walking and listening. (Again from a distance with others until he works on more socialization training) He’s doing much better at his greetings when HIS people come home and sits instantly for pets. He uses a slow feeder and has gotten used to the fact everyone has their own bowl throughout the day so we are able to keep food down for our slow eater and he leaves it be. He’s super smart and willing to learn. He goes to the door and occasionally rings the bell to go out potty or to just soak up some rays. Sometimes he needs a buddy to remind him to go potty while he’s out there because those sticks are so cool. He doesn’t have accidents in his kennel, but he’s not the biggest fan of being in it. He only goes in when we are both away, but it’s always up and he lays in it, so potentially could learn to love it. He sleeps in bed through the night with us and will give stretchy paws and body flops at you when he’s ready to get up for morning potty. He gets a little scared going in the car for rides but he rides well in the car. -
Trinket
AGE: 5 Months
SEX: Female
BREED: Mixed Breed
Hello! I'm Trinket, a courageous little lady with a passion for adventure and a touch of independence. I was born at the begging of July. My foster mom calls me a "feisty firecracker," and I think it fits me perfectly. The only things that intimidate me are loud machines, like vacuums or hair dryers after a bath. I'm quite the clever pup, mastering commands like "sit," "down," "off," and "leave it." Although I'm house-trained(with a doggies door), I must confess, I'm not fond of going out in the snow! I am crate-trained and sleep soundly through the night. I usually pay little attention to cats and get along well with children, even if my playful spirit can be overwhelming at times, and sometimes I get really into it. Despite my small size, I'm a bundle of energy with a big love for fun! I'm always ready to play, even when my foster siblings have had enough. My favorite toys are the ones bigger than me that make all sorts of noises—I adore a good squeak! After a day full of excitement, I love to snuggle up and shower you with kisses until I drift off to sleep. I thrive on being the center of attention and can't wait to find a forever home where I can be your favorite little firecracker!
