  • Axel

    AGE: 2 Years
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Husky Mix

Meet Axel, the ultimate gentle giant with a heart full of love! This sweet boy adores affection and will happily soak up all the pets you’re willing to give—he may even thank you in his own special way. Axel is fantastic with other dogs, adores people, and showed only friendly curiosity when meeting a cat. He’s not much of a barker, but he has a charming way of "talking" when he’s ready to start his day. An outdoor enthusiast at heart, Axel thrives on his walks and would make an excellent hiking companion. If you have a yard, a secure 6-foot fence is a must, as this adventurous boy loves to explore. Could Axel be your next loyal companion?

  • Chase

    AGE: 1 Year
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Hound Mix

Hi there! I’m Chase, a 1-year-old, possibly Rottweiler mix (though I might be a little bit of everything!). The shelter first thought I was a hound, but my brother’s DNA test showed I’m actually 52% Rottweiler, so I’m probably more rotti than hound! I weigh around 50 pounds right now and likely won’t get much bigger. I’ve been told I have the cutest puppy face with the nicest dark eyeliner. I’m a bit of a shy guy at first, especially when it comes to meeting new people. I need a little time and patience to warm up, but once I do, I’m the sweetest dog you’ll ever meet. When I first came from the shelter, I was a very shy and nervous, but thanks to my wonderful foster parents, I’ve gained a lot of confidence! I’m still a little cautious when I meet new people, but once I get to know you, I’m your best buddy. I’m neutered, almost fully potty trained, crate trained, and I’m a big fan of playing with other dogs—I’m definitely a dog’s dog! I need to find a family with a confident doggy buddy to help me come out of my shell and show me how awesome humans can be. A doggy friend would really help me feel more comfortable in new situations, and with the right companion by my side, I’ll be your loyal, loving companion in no time! Though I’m still learning to trust, I’m a gentle soul who just wants to feel safe and loved. I may not be the life of the party right away, but once I know you, I’ll be your best friend for life! If you have another dog who could show me the ropes and help me blossom into the confident, loving dog I’m meant to be, I would love to meet you! I’m looking for a family who will love me as much as my foster family does, and I can’t wait to find my forever home! Could it be with you?

  • Dotty

    AGE: 9 Months
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Shepherd Mix

Dotty is a gentle soul who’s been through a lot, and it shows in her initial shyness. When you first meet her, she may keep her distance, observing quietly and taking her time to feel safe. This sweet girl is cautious, but that’s just because she’s learning that the world can be kind. Her timid nature isn’t permanent—it’s her way of figuring out who she can trust. With a little patience and understanding, Dotty begins to open up, and when she does, her heart shines through. Dotty is house and crate trained, does well with kids and other dogs. She would do best in a home that can give her a lot of love and is on the quieter/calmer side.

  • Gibson

    AGE: 3 Years
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Lab Mix

Hello, potential adopters! I am very pleased to introduce to you a phenomenal dog named Gibson. At a lithe three years old, he has grown a gorgeous black coat with distinctive white marking on his chest and paws. He loves to go on walks and take in everything around him. He would walk all day if he could. He needs to work on walking in a straight-line and staying on the sidewalk. He also loves to play with anything and everyone. Gibson is a smart boy, but does not think before he acts. He loves to jump up on you and give you a hug. We are working on the jumping. He knows sit, lie-down, and “gentle” when accepting a treat. “Stay” is a big goal of ours right now. He will want to put his entire weight on top of you and lick you the entire day (no exaggerating here) unless you enforce boundaries. He is slightly a picky eater, but I see that improving over time. No food aggression at all. Gibson sees his crate as a safe space, but only because a giant bed is shoved in there. He has not had a soft toy from me yet, so I do not know how he will react to that, but he loves the Kong SafeStix I keep here for all of my fosters. He does not bark through the night and is fully crate/potty-trained, though he will inadvertently pee on his paws. Ideally, Gibson will need a fenced-in backyard because of how much he adores playing with humans and other animals. He is fine being alone when he has to be, but it makes him really sad. He also walks best with a harness because he better responds to commands.

I am so proud of how much Gibson has learned in a short time. He is a great dog.

A note from Gibson: “Hi! Oh my god! Hi! I already love you, please take me home and do you have any chicken? Let’s snuggle!”

  • Hank

    AGE: 2 Years
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix

Howdy there! I’m Hank! My foster mom calls me Hank the cow dog. If you’re looking for a country boy, I’m your man. I’m a Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, 2 years old, and weigh 60 pounds. In Texas I was a stray, and a really nice old farmer took me in until I could make it to Colorado. I love being outside, whether to play or go for a nice walk. I’m a gentleman on my leash! I am dog-friendly, but independent…so if you have a buddy for me to play with that’s great. If you don’t, that’s ok too. Maybe we can just visit the dog park sometimes! If you do have a friend for me, I do best eating by myself. I wasn’t always sure where my next meal was coming from, so I get grumpy if someone tries to share with me. I am potty trained and know how to use a doggy door. That being said, I might try to claim my new territory with some marking. My foster mom is using belly bands to help remind me not to do that, and it’s working great! I am super good in my kennel, and sleep through the night. I’m also good during the day if you have to work! I’m a very chill lad, and appreciate long naps on a big dog bed. I’d be best with older kids, because I get so darn excited for attention that I sometimes forget my manners and jump up. Will you be the one to ride off into the sunset with me?

  • Jedidiah

    AGE: 2 Years
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Pitbull/Lab Mix

This handsome guy is Jedidiah, Jed, Jeddy, and handsome bo-bandsome (as his foster mom calls him.) Jed is a VERY sweet and intelligent guy who is almost 2 years old. Despite his age on paper, this guy is VERY much a puppy trapped inside a big kid body. He is re-learning what it is like to be in a house, and with other dogs after being in the shelter for many months. He does great with going potty outside and is completely crate trained. However, we are still working on jumping, not using shoes and other household items as chew toys, as well as basic home manners. This guy is SO receptive to corrections and redirections and will be very easy to train into your routine.

Because this big guy thinks he is a puppy, we recommend a home with bigger kiddos only who are used to having bigger dogs until he can curb his jumping even more. BUT he LOVES everyone he meets and is just a bundle of love. Jed would do well with a submissive female dog who is ready to keep up with his playful energy. He has a lot of love and fun to give, so a dog who enjoys playtime and doesn’t mind being the "leader" would be ideal. He loves the cat, but again does not realize his size, so he may be a little intimidating for cats (unless you have one ready to hand out a correction).

All in all, Jedidiah is a true good boy through and through. He just needs a family ready to give him a little bit of consistency and TLC, and we promise he will give you a lifetime of love back!

  • Kalena

    AGE: 1.5 Years
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Pitbull Mix

Meet Kalena: A Survivor with a Heart Full of Love

Kalena, affectionately known as Kiki or Ki-Kola-Sue by her devoted foster family, is a survivor in every sense of the word. Her journey to safety is one of heartbreak and resilience, a testament to her unyielding spirit and desire for a better life. Found emaciated and broken after being thrown from the back of a pickup truck in La Junta, Colorado, alongside another dog, Kiki was brought to the local shelter where her future seemed heartbreakingly uncertain. With death looming, Karl's Canine Krew stepped in just in time to save her life, offering her the second chance she so desperately deserved.

While the other dog she was found with went on to another rescue, Kiki began her journey of healing and hope. Her paperwork may list her as just one year old, but her soulful eyes and mannerisms tell the story of a dog closer to 4-5 years old, one who has endured a lifetime of hardship in her short years. Evidence suggests Kiki was likely used as a breeding dog in a dogfighting ring, leaving her unfamiliar with the joys of simply being a dog.

In her loving foster home, Kiki is slowly learning what it means to be cared for and cherished. She’s working hard on recall, muzzle training, and building trust, proving every day just how resilient she truly is. Though she still has a way to go, Kiki is ready to take the next step on her journey and find a more permanent foster-to-adopt situation where she can continue to thrive and truly settle in.

Kiki is seeking a home as the only pet, though with continued training and care, she may eventually be able to live with another dog (a puppy would be the best match). Cats, however, are an absolute no-go for this girl. While Kiki adores children, her excitement and lack of understanding around boundaries make her better suited to a home without kids.

This sweet, loving pitbull mix has so much potential and just needs a patient, experienced adopter who can help her continue her rehabilitation and training. Kiki has already come so far from the emaciated dog who entered the shelter with little hope. She loves deeply, learns eagerly, and yearns for a family willing to show her what it truly means to be a dog.

Kiki's story is one of second chances and the power of love. If you have experience with her breed and the commitment to help her become her best self, Kiki could be the loyal, affectionate companion you’ve been searching for. With your help, Kiki can leave her heartbreaking past behind and embrace the bright, love-filled future she so deeply deserves. Will you be the hero in her story?

  • Lola

    AGE: 2 Years
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Shepherd/Australian Cattle Dog Mix

Lola is a spirited 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix who’s ready to bring her playful energy and big heart to her forever family!

This fun-loving girl is potty trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to your home. She’s a big fan of toys, treats, and playtime, and she thrives with high-energy canine friends who love to romp as much as she does. Lola also knows how to respect her pack—she shares meals politely and either plays nicely with her furry companions or lets them do their own thing. While Lola’s cuddly side is irresistible, be ready for her enthusiastic love—she’s not shy about stomping right into your lap for snuggles! She adores affection and will make sure you know just how much she loves you. Lola would do best in a home with older kids, as her exuberance might be a bit much for younger ones. She also hasn’t quite figured out the doggie door yet (who needs it when you’re this cute?), so patience and guidance will help her thrive.

If you’re an active family or have a playful dog looking for a companion, Lola is your girl. She’s ready for adventure, fun, and endless snuggles!

  • Max

    AGE: 3 Years
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Pitbull Mix

Max is a total lovebug who’s ready to fill your home with cuddles and charm. This sweet boy is a quick learner—he’s already mastering the dog door and knows how to “sit” like a pro! He’s the ultimate snuggle companion and will happily curl up next to you for some quality downtime. Max has done great with cats so far, giving them a curious sniff and then going about his business. Stairs, on the other hand, are still a bit intimidating for him, but with some encouragement, he’ll conquer those in no time! Potty training? Almost there! He’s had a few marks but seems to have the basics down. Oh, and a fair warning—Max has legendary gas, but it’s just part of his charm (and easily overlooked when you see how lovable he is). If you’re looking for a winner who’s equal parts affectionate, intelligent, and hilarious, Max might just be your perfect match. Come meet this sweetheart and let him win you over!

  • Miles

    AGE: 1 Year
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Terrier Mix

Miles is a shy guy at first but once he warms up he is full of playful energy and hilarious facial expressions! At just 40lbs he is a great size for both cuddling or a hiking buddy! He loves wrestling outside with his foster brother Motley but also loves naps on the couch! He needs time to trust people, but once he does he has so much love to give. He is also completely potty trained and crate trained and walks PERFECT on a leash! Miles would be thrilled if him and Motley could be adopted together, but will also adjust to a new sibling with time and proper introduction. He might also be fit to be an only dog if he developed a strong bond with his humans.

  • Motley

    AGE: 3 Years
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Lab Mix

Meet Motley (named after motley crew cuz he looks like hes wearing eye liner, and he's a total Rockstar). This 2 year old boy is the definition of a gentle giant. At about 70lbs, he thinks hes a lap dog and will happily plop himself right on top of you, or curl up for a nap in the smallest dog bed in the house. He is fantastic with all other dogs (except his teenage boy hormones seem to kick in around other big males). Hes potty trained, crate trained, He LOVES to give kisses, walks great on a leash, and is perfect in the car! He loves to run and needs a 6ft fence and would love lots of space to run around. Anyone who adopts him will be lucky, he has a lot of love to share!

  • Murray

    AGE: 8 Months
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Shepherd Mix

Meet Murray—the perfect blend of playful energy and pure love!

This 8-month-old sweetheart is nothing short of an angel. Whether he’s zooming around the yard with his doggy pals or curling up on the couch for snuggles with the kids, Murray is always bringing joy to those around him. He’s been around children of all ages, from toddlers to teens, and hasn’t met a human he doesn’t adore!

Affectionately nicknamed Curious George, Murray has an adventurous spirit and loves exploring his surroundings. While he’s still perfecting his leash skills, he listens well and is eager to learn. He’s fully crate and potty trained, rides beautifully in the car, and has shown zero signs of aggression—just a heart full of love.

This special boy would thrive in nearly any home, whether with a loving family, a playful pup sibling, or an active companion. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, and all-around amazing dog, Murray is your guy! (Cat-friendliness unknown.)

  • Opal

    AGE: 1 Year
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Mixed Breed

Meet Opal, an 1 year old Shepherd mix with soft, luxurious fur and a love for cuddling on the couch. She’s professionally trained, crate and potty trained, knows how to use a dog door, and sleeps soundly through the night. Though shy at first, Opal is a daddy’s girl who feels most at ease with calm, patient men and would thrive with an active family committed to her socialization. She will do best with a home with a tall fence, at least 6 feet, as she can hop a 4 foot fence easily to go say hi to the neighbors! She adores playtime with other dogs and is ready to bring her sweet, snuggly personality and bright smile to her forever home!

  • Pickle

    AGE: 1 Year
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Pitbull Mix

Meet Pickles, the ultimate big-dog mashup! This lovable boy is a mix of Pitbull, Staffordshire Terrier, American Bulldog, Boxer, and Great Dane—so basically, he's a cuddle monster with a heart as big as his personality!

Pickles is a social butterfly who adores his dog friends and isn’t afraid to let you know it—he’s got lots to say! He’s incredibly smart and eager to please, mastering sit, stay, off, and fetch in record time. He’s working hard on leash manners and potty cues (though he's already accident-free indoors!).

Outside, Pickles is a playful goofball who loves a good game of chase and a round of tug-o-war with his doggy pals. But when he’s inside? He’s a total couch potato, happiest when snuggled up with his humans. He sleeps soundly in his own bed, is kennel trained, and will happily follow you from room to room just to be close.

A Special Note: When Pickles was a baby, he suffered from an unknown injury or illness that caused some neurological damage. He’s expected to live a long and happy life—but in the right home! His unique gait makes stairs a challenge, so he needs a home without them. He may also be prone to more severe arthritis as he gets older, so his family should be prepared to keep him comfy and supported as he ages.

If you're looking for a loyal, snuggly, ridiculously smart best friend who will stick by your side (literally), Pickles is your guy!

  • Skipper

    AGE: 1 Year
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Pitbull Mix

Skipper is a sweet, 1-year-old terrier mix who is still settling into her new home and learning to trust the world around her. Though she’s a little nervous at first, once she gets comfortable, she’s a playful and affectionate pup who loves to wag her tail and enjoys the company of other dogs. She’s particularly food-motivated, which makes training and bonding a breeze! Skipper prefers to eat in her kennel, away from other dogs, so you’ll often find her happily munching away in her quiet space. She’s also learning how to ask to go outside, though she’s had a few accidents in the house while figuring out the routine. With a little patience and understanding, Skipper is on her way to becoming a well-behaved and loving companion. Skipper is very interested in cats, but she means them no harm—she’s just curious and will chase after them if they run. If you catch her in the act and tell her “NO,” she listens well, though her curiosity can still be a bit of a problem when the cats need some peace. While Skipper can be shy around new people, she’s a fast learner and appreciates a calm approach. She’s a little unsure of her current human dad, but once he got down to her level and offered an open hand, she warmed up quickly. Skipper is more comfortable with other dogs and loves to play outside with them, but she’s still building confidence when it comes to people. She’s a sensitive soul who enjoys chin scratches but doesn’t like being petted from above. Sudden movements can startle her, so it’s best to approach her gently and give her the time she needs to feel safe. If you’re looking for a playful, sweet-natured dog who just needs a little time and space to build trust, Skipper might be the perfect match for you. She’s ready to join a family that will give her the patience and love she deserves while helping her grow into the confident, affectionate dog she’s meant to be!

  • Sky

    AGE: 7 Months
    SEX: Female
    BREED: German Shepherd Mix

Meet Sky! This energetic and affectionate girl is a mixed breed, likely a Belgian Malinois and Husky mix, and she's ready to find her forever home. Sky is house and crate trained, making her transition into your home a breeze. However, be prepared for some serious zoomies! Sky has a lot of energy and needs 1-2 hours of exercise daily. Walks alone won't cut it for this active pup; she needs plenty of space to run and play, so a home with a large, fenced yard is ideal.

Sky is very loving and affectionate with adults. While she adores her people, she can be a bit wary of young, energetic children. She's also cautious when meeting new dogs, so introductions should be slow and careful. If you're an active individual or family looking for a loyal companion who loves the outdoors and has the space to let her run, Sky might just be the perfect addition to your life! A meet-and-greet is a must to see if you and Sky are a match made in heaven.

  • Stan

    AGE: 1 Year
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Mixed Breed

Meet Stan, a high-energy big puppy who loves to play and explore! Full of energy and enthusiasm, Stan is great with dogs of all sizes, loves to socialize, and would do best with a fur buddy to romp around with and learn from. While still learning some manners, he is smart and eager to learn, so he is picking up his manners, one wag at a time. With his playful nature and boundless stamina, he would make an excellent running buddy, ready to accompany you on all your outdoor adventures. If you're looking for a fun, loving companion who will thrive on exercise and companionship, Stan is the perfect match for you!
