  • Beatrice

    AGE: 2 Years
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Beagle/Mixed Breed

Meet Beatrice – Your Sweet Southern Belle!

Beatrice is a 2-year-old beagle/hound mix, about 50 pounds, with the calmest soul and the sweetest eyes. Originally found as a stray in Texas, this gentle girl has blossomed into a loving companion with a growing playful side. Now in Colorado, she’s ready to find her forever home!

Bea adores her walks and believes every dog and human she meets should be her new best friend—she'll even throw a little huff if she doesn’t get her expected pets from admirers! She's especially fond of calm, respectful kids who understand when she needs a bit of quiet time.

In her previous foster home, Beatrice thrived with other doggie pals. Her foster mom called her “the BEST dog ever”—and her current Colorado foster family wholeheartedly agrees! While she doesn’t currently live with other dogs, they’re confident she’d be happy in a home with or without canine companions.

Beatrice is looking for a family who will indulge her love of long, sniff-filled walks, respect her mellow nature, and shower her with affection. If you're searching for a gentle, affectionate pup to be your walking buddy and loyal friend, Beatrice just might be your perfect match.

  • Bonnie

    AGE: 1 Year
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Black Mouth Cur Mix

Bonnie is a true gem, exuding beauty from within. Her heart overflows with love, she plays harmoniously with others, and demonstrates remarkable selflessness with no food or toy aggression. As a well-adjusted companion, she is house trained, respectful of belongings, spayed, and up-to-date on vaccines. She would thrive as a playmate for a resident pup or shower love as a devoted solo companion. With good leash manners, Bonnie embodies a perfect blend of poise and affection. Although she may not appreciate crate time, her excellent manners shine through her peaceful nighttime slumber and accident-free days. Initially, she may seem reserved, but her loving nature soon unfolds. Bonnie has earned a seal of approval from kids and chickens alike, proving herself a gentle soul, unprone to flighty behavior, though still refining her recall skills. As a quiet observer, she only barks when necessary.

  • CJ

    AGE: 11 Months
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Lab Mix

Meet CJ! This 11 month old Lab mix (with a touch of Border Collie personality, according to his foster mom) is a charming, 30-pound bundle of joy! CJ gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats, and he’s a quick learner thanks to his strong food motivation. He’s 90% potty trained, has excellent recall, and is already proficient in following commands, making him a breeze to train. With his agility and love for “parkour,” he could excel in agility courses if his future family is interested in that! Though he enjoys playing, his energy level is moderate, and he’s happiest when he’s right by your side—your typical velcro dog. While CJ didn’t seem to have much crate or separation experience before his foster home, he’s been making progress. With a little time and patience, he’ll adapt to any family routine. CJ is a good boy who’s ready to be melt at the foot of your bed!

  • Cooper

    AGE: 2 Years
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Great Pyrenees Mix

Hi, I’m Cooper! I’m a 2 year old 60lb Great Pyrenees mix. My foster says I am the definition of a gentle giant! I’m perfectly crate trained, potty trained, & pretty good on a leash (I sometimes need help not going after bunnies, squirrels, birds, & other little nature animals. I want to play with them so bad!). I like being given time to sniff on my walks as well. I’m silent 95% of the time, but do bark at other doggies occasionally. I also do great in the car, but I do get carsick. I LOVE snuggling with my people & getting scratches, those are my most favorite things! I’m the perfect mix of affectionate & independant. I absolutely adore trusted humans! I’m almost always trying to cuddle with my foster & she says it’s so sweet. I’m great with other dogs after having slow introductions to them in a larger space, like a yard (speaking of yards - I’m big, but am able to have a standard 4ft fence rather than a 6ft fence if needed!). I think that I would do best with respectful medium & large dogs. I am NOT able to live with kitties or free range little pets (guinea pigs, rats, mice, ferrets, etc) as they make me too excited & I don’t want to accidentally hurt them. I have excellent manners, just please put all the food away because it tempts me too much! I sometimes get nervous, especially with loud noises, so I need someone who will patiently help me know that everything is okay. I have the slightest underbite & my foster said it’s so goofy & cute! I also would love being in a home where I can snuggle on beds & couches. If all of this works for you & you are gentle, affectionate, patient, & devoted to giving me lots of loving attention, please adopt me!!!

  • Dotty

    AGE: 11 Months
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Shepherd Mix

Dotty is a gentle soul who’s been through a lot, and it shows in her initial shyness. When you first meet her, she may keep her distance, observing quietly and taking her time to feel safe. This sweet girl is cautious, but that’s just because she’s learning that the world can be kind. Her timid nature isn’t permanent—it’s her way of figuring out who she can trust. With a little patience and understanding, Dotty begins to open up, and when she does, her heart shines through. Dotty is house and crate trained, does well with kids and other dogs. She would do best in a home with another dog and we recommend submitting an application only if you have another dog, or if you have experience with shy and nervous dogs.

  • Echo

    AGE: 1 Year
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix

Meet Echo, a gentle soul who radiates a quiet charm. Initially shy around new faces, she requires a patient friend to help her blossom into the confidant companion she is destined to be. Echo is both potty trained and kennel trained, making her transition into a loving home a little smoother.

She delights in leisurely strolls on a leash, relishing the sights and sounds of the world around her. The company of another dog brings her joy, and she thrives in the presence of familiar faces that offer her reassurance.

A home with a self-assured canine pal could work wonders in nurturing her confidence and helping her feel secure. Echo truly longs for someone who understands that building trust is a gradual journey; she needs time and tenderness to come out of her shell.

If you’re ready to shower her with patience and kindness, Echo will reveal the depth of her affection, rewarding your efforts with an abundance of love. She's a precious gem, and every moment spent waiting for her to shine is well worth it!

  • Ed

    AGE: 6 Years
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Pitbull Mix

    Meet Ed!

A horse is a horse, of course of course, but I am not a silly horse! But I am the famous Mr. Ed! I am genuinely the perfect boy. I am house trained and a champion of the crate. You won’t hear any fussing from me. I’m just grateful for a soft surface. Beds and couches are kinda the best thing ever, but laps are my favorite. You see, I’ve kinda had a rough hand dealt to me before I came to Karl’s. I had a home once, but my people went to jail and I went to the shelter. For two years I watched other dogs get their forever homes, because they didn’t see my happy tail and smile. But don’t think for a minute that it affected my spirit. I’m a resilient kinda fella. I am a snuggler extraordinaire, and my tail never stops wagging to tell you how happy I am to be a part of your life. I am good with other dogs, but I’m not big on playing. So, I’d be happy with a dog buddy, but I don’t need one. Dogs are cool, but I really like people. My foster mama likes to call me VelcroED. If you need some emotional support, I am your guy! I would make an exceptional companion for an older person because I’m not a high energy dog. I probably wouldn’t do well with little kids, but only because I get so excited about people that I tend to be a little bit of a bull in a china shop. I don’t bark - how’s that for a bonus?!?! I know my basic commands, and hand gestures too. I know I’m a little bit older, but I have plenty of years left to love and make you laugh. Will you be the human that gives me my happily ever after? I promise it’ll be worth it.

  • Honeys

    AGE: 4 Months
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Great Dane/Mastiff Mix

    Meet Honeys!

This lovely Great Dane mix is a gentle soul with a heart of gold. Honeys may be a little shy at first, but with patience and kindness, her true personality shines. Once she feels safe and loved, she transforms into a goofy, affectionate cuddlebug who just wants to be close to her people. With her expressive eyes and endearing personality, Honeys is sure to steal your heart. She’s still building her confidence, but each day she blossoms a little more. If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly companion with a silly streak, Honeys is your girl!

Honeys does well in a kennel and is picking up house training like a dream! She is working on leash training and being comfortable in new situations. Since she’s a timid girl, continued training and positive exposure to new environments are must for this sweet girl so she can really shine!

  • Izzy

    AGE: 6 Months
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Boxer Mix

Izzy is an absolute sweetheart with a warm, gentle spirit. When you first meet her, she may need a moment to feel safe—approaching her slowly helps her open up. For such a young pup, she's incredibly in tune with the emotions and energy around her. I can already tell she’s going to grow into a loyal and loving companion who’s deeply connected to her people.

Boxers are known for being clever and quick to learn, and Izzy is no exception! She's just about got puppy pad training down, and while stairs are still a bit of a mystery (especially going down), she's making progress every day—with a little help and encouragement, of course.

Izzy gets along beautifully with other dogs and loves gentle pets, though she might wait for you to make the first move. Once she trusts you, she’ll lean in close—it’s her quiet little way of saying, “I love being near you.” In just a week, she’s made such amazing strides, and her confidence grows daily.

Leash walks are going okay, but I get the feeling she'd be happiest with a backyard where she can zoom around and explore to her heart’s content. And don’t worry—this girl loves mealtime! She’s not picky and is always happy to chow down.

Like any puppy, she’s happiest with a few chew toys or plushies to keep her busy. She’s curious, gentle, and just so easy to fall in love with. Whoever gets to call Izzy their own is in for a very special bond—one built on trust, devotion, and unconditional love.

She’ll be as loyal as they come.
And she’ll love you with her whole heart. 💕

  • Jedidiah

    AGE: 2 Years
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Pitbull/Lab Mix

This handsome guy is Jedidiah, Jed, Jeddy, and handsome bo-bandsome (as his foster mom calls him.) Jed is a VERY sweet and intelligent guy who is almost 2 years old. Despite his age on paper, this guy is VERY much a puppy trapped inside a big kid body. He is re-learning what it is like to be in a house, and with other dogs after being in the shelter for many months. He does great with going potty outside and is completely crate trained. However, we are still working on jumping, not using shoes and other household items as chew toys, as well as basic home manners. This guy is SO receptive to corrections and redirections and will be very easy to train into your routine.

Because this big guy thinks he is a puppy, we recommend a home with bigger kiddos only who are used to having bigger dogs until he can curb his jumping even more. BUT he LOVES everyone he meets and is just a bundle of love. Jed would do well with a submissive female dog who is ready to keep up with his playful energy. He has a lot of love and fun to give, so a dog who enjoys playtime and doesn’t mind being the "leader" would be ideal. He loves the cat, but again does not realize his size, so he may be a little intimidating for cats (unless you have one ready to hand out a correction).

All in all, Jedidiah is a true good boy through and through. He just needs a family ready to give him a little bit of consistency and TLC, and we promise he will give you a lifetime of love back!

  • Kalena

    AGE: 2 Years
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Pitbull Mix

Meet Kalena: A Survivor with a Heart Full of Love

Kalena, affectionately known as Kiki or Ki-Kola-Sue by her devoted foster family, is a survivor in every sense of the word. Her journey to safety is one of heartbreak and resilience, a testament to her unyielding spirit and desire for a better life. Found emaciated and broken after being thrown from the back of a pickup truck in La Junta, Colorado, alongside another dog, Kiki was brought to the local shelter where her future seemed heartbreakingly uncertain. With death looming, Karl's Canine Krew stepped in just in time to save her life, offering her the second chance she so desperately deserved.

While the other dog she was found with went on to another rescue, Kiki began her journey of healing and hope. Her paperwork may list her as just one year old, but her soulful eyes and mannerisms tell the story of a dog closer to 4-5 years old, one who has endured a lifetime of hardship in her short years. Evidence suggests Kiki was likely used as a breeding dog in a dogfighting ring, leaving her unfamiliar with the joys of simply being a dog.

In her loving foster home, Kiki is slowly learning what it means to be cared for and cherished. She’s working hard on recall, muzzle training, and building trust, proving every day just how resilient she truly is. Though she still has a way to go, Kiki is ready to take the next step on her journey and find a more permanent foster-to-adopt situation where she can continue to thrive and truly settle in.

Kiki is seeking a home as the only pet, though with continued training and care, she may eventually be able to live with another dog (a puppy would be the best match). Cats, however, are an absolute no-go for this girl. While Kiki adores children, her excitement and lack of understanding around boundaries make her better suited to a home without kids.

This sweet, loving pitbull mix has so much potential and just needs a patient, experienced adopter who can help her continue her rehabilitation and training. Kiki has already come so far from the emaciated dog who entered the shelter with little hope. She loves deeply, learns eagerly, and yearns for a family willing to show her what it truly means to be a dog.

Kiki's story is one of second chances and the power of love. If you have experience with her breed and the commitment to help her become her best self, Kiki could be the loyal, affectionate companion you’ve been searching for. With your help, Kiki can leave her heartbreaking past behind and embrace the bright, love-filled future she so deeply deserves. Will you be the hero in her story?

  • Lilo

    AGE: 1 Year
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Shepherd/Retriever Mix

Hello friend! My name is Lilo. I’m a big girl in the cutest little package. I’m less than 40 pounds of lap love, and I’m a snuggle monster. I’m the best girl on a leash and I will settle in the crate with a reminder that it’s bed time. I am potty trained and already mastering the doggie door. I am a boss girl, so I would do best with a boy buddy, or a girl who doesn’t mind understanding that I like to be in charge. Treats and food are a big deal for me, so I like to have them separately from other doggos. If you’re looking for the perfect combination of size and personality, I’m the lady for you!

  • Luna Bean

    AGE: 2 Years
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Boston Terrier/Pointer Mix

Hi, I’m Luna! I’m a petite little lady (about 15-20 lbs) with big eyes, a bigger heart, and possibly the cutest Boston Terrier/Pointer mix ears/coloring you’ve ever seen. At around 2 years old, I’ve mastered the art of cozy—my favorite place in the world is under your covers, curled up like a furry little burrito. Bonus points if you let me keep your feet warm.

I’m a sweet and spunky girl with a gentle soul. I’ve got a little spark in me—I’ll bounce around when I’m happy and follow you like it’s my full-time job—but I also need a little extra love and patience to feel totally safe. New places and people can be a bit overwhelming at first, but once I warm up, I’ll be your loyal shadow, always ready for cuddles and quiet companionship.

I’ve recently learned how to use a doggy door (go me!), and I’m mostly potty trained—just need a little consistency and encouragement. I get along great with other dogs and love learning from them. I’m basically in a mentorship program for “How to Dog,” and I’m a star student!

I do have a touch of separation anxiety—not the destructive kind, just the “I miss you and hope you come back soon” kind. So if you’ve got a soft spot for sweet pups who just want to be loved, I’m your girl.

If you're looking for a cuddly, quirky, kind-hearted companion who just needs a little extra TLC to shine, Luna might just be your perfect match. Let’s snuggle, nap, and binge-watch something cozy together.

  • Mash

    AGE: 2 Years
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Husky Mix

🐾 Meet Mash – Your New Adventure Buddy! 🐾

Looking for a fun-loving, energetic, and affectionate pup to add some excitement to your life? Meet Mash, a gorgeous 2-year-old husky mix with a heart as big as her personality!

Mash is the perfect combination of playful and sweet. She absolutely loves going on walks and exploring the world with her people—whether it’s a stroll around the neighborhood or a fun hike on the trails, she’s always up for an adventure. When she’s not out sniffing all the best spots, she enjoys chewing on her toys (and the occasional shoe), zooming around with bursts of puppy energy, and, of course, soaking up all the love and pets she can get.

Like most huskies, Mash has a touch of independence and a bit of a silly, dramatic side (expect some adorable husky talk now and then!). She’s crate trained and settles in after a few initial whines, and she’s working on perfecting her house manners. She’s still young at heart, so she’ll need a patient and loving family to help guide her as she continues to learn.

Mash is looking for a home that will embrace her adventurous spirit, give her plenty of playtime, and, most importantly, love her for the affectionate, fun, and slightly goofy pup that she is. If you’re looking for a furry best friend to make every day brighter, Mash is ready to be your loyal companion!

💕 Apply to adopt Mash today and give her the forever home she deserves! 💕

  • Max

    AGE: 3 Years
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Pitbull Mix

Max is a total lovebug who’s ready to fill your home with cuddles and charm. This sweet boy is a quick learner—he’s already mastering the dog door and knows how to “sit” like a pro! He’s the ultimate snuggle companion and will happily curl up next to you for some quality downtime. Max has done great with cats so far, giving them a curious sniff and then going about his business. Stairs, on the other hand, are still a bit intimidating for him, but with some encouragement, he’ll conquer those in no time! Potty training? Almost there! He’s had a few marks but seems to have the basics down. Oh, and a fair warning—Max has legendary gas, but it’s just part of his charm (and easily overlooked when you see how lovable he is). If you’re looking for a winner who’s equal parts affectionate, intelligent, and hilarious, Max might just be your perfect match. Come meet this sweetheart and let him win you over!

  • Missouri

    AGE: 3 Months
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Blue Heeler/Pyrenees Mix

Meet Missouri (Miss Zuri) Zuri is a 4 month old mix (I suspect heeler/Pyrenees?) she’s a delight with big paws and a big heart! Zuri is very social, loves kids, all attention, walks very well on a leash, loves kids, and has gotten along with all the dogs she has met so far. She is a perfect combination of playful and cuddly. She does so well in the car and clearly associates it with positive adventures. Zuri came to us crate trained as well! She sleeps through the night in her crate & on her own in her room (which is awesome for a baby). Zuri’s perfect home is one with or without another dog, she would love a human brother or sister or a family that will bring her along for all the social outings they can. So far she’s hasn’t needed a lot of exercise so I suspect her energy needs will be moderate. She is a very quick learner and has mastered sit and is working on down. She would love puppy class

  • Mochi

    AGE: 8 Months
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Lab Mix

🎉 New Pup on the Block! Meet Mochi! 🍡

Say hello to Mochi, a sweet-as-can-be lab mix girl who's just as delightful as the ice cream she's named after! At about 8 months old and 40 lbs of love, Mochi is the total package—playful, snuggly, and full of puppy charm.

    Mochi’s favorite things include:
    🧸 Tossing around her stuffies
    🍽️ Anything food-related (girl’s got taste!)
    🐶 Romping with doggie pals
💤 Cuddling up with her foster mom after a fun-filled day

She’s got a great fetch game going and even brings the ball back like a pro! On walks, she’s more of a curious little sniffer than a puller—just needs a bit of practice to perfect her leash manners.

🏠 Mochi is house trained, kennel savvy (she’ll even chill there with the door open!), and politely curious about the resident cat—no chasing or drama, just respectful tail wags.

If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and well-mannered gal to add to your crew, Mochi might just be your perfect match! 💕

  • Mork

    AGE: 8 Months
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Lab Mix

Meet Mork, the sweet boy who was found in a field with his siblings and is now looking for a loving home to call his own. Mork is a friendly, playful pup who gets along great with other dogs and is always eager to make new friends. His favorite thing in the world? Snuggling up on the couch and sharing some quality cuddle time with you. Though he’s a little shy with men at first, Mork is learning that not all men are bad, and with patience, he warms up quickly. He’s mostly potty trained, crate trained and is doing great with learning new commands—his “sit” is coming along nicely! Mork is ready to be your best friend, and with a little patience, he’ll show you just how affectionate and loyal he can be. If you're looking for a loving companion who will be your buddy for life, Mork is ready to meet you. With some encouragement and love, he’ll blossom into the perfect addition to your family.

  • Motley

    AGE: 4 Years
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Lab Mix

Meet Motley (named after Motley Crue for his Rockstar eyeliner). Motley is a 75lb ball of love who thinks he's a lap dog! He loves to curl up right on top of anyone who will let him, and if you get up for a bathroom break, he's sure to follow and wait patiently right outside the door. When he's not snuggling you can find him outside chasing squirrels or tennis balls, or playing with friends. He is a tall boy so definitely needs a 6ft fence cuz he can jump a 4ft one with ease. He loves playing with other dogs of any size, as long as they aren't on a leash where they aren't accessible to him (he just wants to be friends with everyone so bad). He is crate trained, but really doesn't need to be in one as long as no one leaves any snacks on the counter He loves walks and is working on perfecting leash manners (so many things to stop and smell) and he is absolutely PERFECT in the car! Motley would be good in any home with another energetic playful dog buddy and cuddly humans!

  • Murray

    AGE: 10 Months
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Shepherd Mix

Meet Murray—the perfect blend of playful energy and pure love!

This 8-month-old sweetheart is nothing short of an angel. Whether he’s zooming around the yard with his doggy pals or curling up on the couch for snuggles with the kids, Murray is always bringing joy to those around him. He’s been around children of all ages, from toddlers to teens, and hasn’t met a human he doesn’t adore!

Affectionately nicknamed Curious George, Murray has an adventurous spirit and loves exploring his surroundings. While he’s still perfecting his leash skills, he listens well and is eager to learn. He’s fully crate and potty trained, rides beautifully in the car, and has shown zero signs of aggression—just a heart full of love.

This special boy would thrive in nearly any home, whether with a loving family, a playful pup sibling, or an active companion. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, and all-around amazing dog, Murray is your guy! (Cat-friendliness unknown.)

  • Opal

    AGE: 1 Year
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Mixed Breed

Meet Opal, a stunning 1-year-old Shepherd mix with soft, luxurious fur and a heart full of love. This sweet girl is professionally trained, crate and potty trained, knows how to use a dog door, and sleeps soundly through the night. Though initially shy, Opal is a true daddy’s girl who feels most at ease with calm, patient men and would thrive with an active family dedicated to her continued socialization.

Opal is an athletic pup who loves playtime with other dogs, but she’ll need a secure yard with a tall fence (at least 6 feet) since she can easily clear a 4-foot fence to go say hello to the neighbors!

While Opal can warm up to kids with time and patience, she tends to get anxious around young children. A home with older, dog-savvy kids would be best for her, as she needs a calm and understanding environment to feel safe and secure.

If you’re looking for a loyal, snuggly companion with a bright smile and an adventurous spirit, Opal is ready to find her perfect forever home!

  • Pickles

    AGE: 1 Year
    SEX: Male
    BREED: Pitbull Mix

    Meet Pickle!

Hello there! I’m Pickle! You could say I’m a “Big dill” but I’m more like bread and butter because I am literally the sweetest! I have a neurological condition that causes me to walk funny, and not be able to do stairs BUT it doesn’t affect my quality, or length ,of life. It just means I have a super cool swagger! I adore people and other dogs. There’s not an aggressive bone in my body, but my tail is crazy. If laughter is the best medicine, then you want me for a prescription. My foster mom laughs every day with my wiggles and antics. I am fully potty trained, crate trained, and a champ at the doggy door. I’m genuinely the total package. I know my basic commands and am always eager to please. I’ll do anything for a treat! I love playing with other dogs, and I think water is the best thing ever! Pool party anyone? I would do my best in a home with no stairs, a dog pal, and older kids. I would also be great as a companion for an older person, since most of my day is spent being a couch pickle. Could you give me the forever home I’ve been searching for?

  • Siren

    AGE: 4 Years
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Lab Mix

Siren is a 4 year-old Lab mix with a fun, lovable personality. She lives up to the “Velcro Dog” nickname, but is a good girl who will sit at your feet while you eat. She wants to be your best friend and while she will sleep in a crate without much complaint just fine, she would prefer to sleep in your bed. She walks well on a leash and loves to be outside. Siren is a very smart girl, it just takes her a little longer to learn some commands. There is no food-aggression or resource guarding present and eats out of her slow-feeder every meal. She does not have much experience with other animals, so exercise caution when introducing her to one. As for kids, she is unsure of them at the moment. Due to her past, Siren cannot be tied up outside and left alone, but she sure is excited to meet her forever family! Are you the one who will snuggle on the couch with Siren?

  • Skipper

    AGE: 1 Year
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Pitbull Mix

Skipper is a sweet, 1-year-old terrier mix who is still settling into her new home and learning to trust the world around her. Though she’s a little nervous at first, once she gets comfortable, she’s a playful and affectionate pup who loves to wag her tail and enjoys the company of other dogs. She’s particularly food-motivated, which makes training and bonding a breeze! Skipper prefers to eat in her kennel, away from other dogs, so you’ll often find her happily munching away in her quiet space. She’s also learning how to ask to go outside, though she’s had a few accidents in the house while figuring out the routine. With a little patience and understanding, Skipper is on her way to becoming a well-behaved and loving companion. Skipper is very interested in cats, but she means them no harm—she’s just curious and will chase after them if they run. If you catch her in the act and tell her “NO,” she listens well, though her curiosity can still be a bit of a problem when the cats need some peace. While Skipper can be shy around new people, she’s a fast learner and appreciates a calm approach. She’s a little unsure of her current human dad, but once he got down to her level and offered an open hand, she warmed up quickly. Skipper is more comfortable with other dogs and loves to play outside with them, but she’s still building confidence when it comes to people. She’s a sensitive soul who enjoys chin scratches but doesn’t like being petted from above. Sudden movements can startle her, so it’s best to approach her gently and give her the time she needs to feel safe. If you’re looking for a playful, sweet-natured dog who just needs a little time and space to build trust, Skipper might be the perfect match for you. She’s ready to join a family that will give her the patience and love she deserves while helping her grow into the confident, affectionate dog she’s meant to be!

  • Virginia

    AGE: 11 Months
    SEX: Female
    BREED: Pitbull Mix
