Hi, I'm Salem! Professional cuddler, full-time shadow & aspiring stalker. I'm currently accepting potential matches to be my forever family to love, adore & follow around 24/7. If you need lots of personal space, let's be honest here, I'm probably not your guy. But… if you need someone to watch you brush your teeth, follow you to the bathroom (basically supervising your every breath) and attempt to merge bodies with you on the couch... SWIPE RIGHT! 😂

They “say” I'm 60-ish pounds, but I genuinely feel I could fit into someone's pocket to be extra close to them! (I'm making progress on giving personal space, but I still think it's an overrated concept 🙄) I give big happy “pitty smiles”, complete with a hopelessly adorable underbite & Chewbacca sound effects!

My start was tough, found in a condemned home with my sibling, whom I sadly witnessed being lost in a car accident. The world felt pretty scary to me after that. But my time in foster and training with Jordan's K9's, along with the continued patience & care of my foster mom, has helped me come out of my shell! Sometimes I still get scared & will bark if a stranger or another dog stands over me or rushes me. But now I can watch people & pups pass by with curiosity instead of the fear I once felt. I'm still learning, but I'm trying my very best! ❤️

A few things you should know before our first date:

- ✅ Crate trained, sit, down, stay, come, up, off, wait, leave it, dog door professional, doesn't challenge fences or gates.

- 🐕 Generally good on leash (exciting things occasionally make me forget my manners).

- 🍽️ Learning to politely down & tuck under my humans while they eat. Apparently, that's called table manners 🙄 They say it'll help me go to patios & breweries & such though (more places to showcase my professional flirting skills 😘 )

- 🧸 Toy enthusiast, professional cuddler, and certified attention seeker.

- 🏡 Being home alone is hard for me at times, so I'll need someone patient to continue helping me learn that being apart is okay. (I am kennel trained).

- 🐶 Dog friends? Working on it. I sometimes get anxious or over excited still and need help recognizing when another dog needs a break or doesn't like me. I've been going on group walks & doing well! So a no other dog home is ideal for now, but likely won't be needed forever. My prior foster sister is spicy 🌶 and I've been pretty good at ignoring her through the doggy gate.

- 👧 I'm learning that little humans can be fun too, I'm gentle when they give me snackies! But being eye level is still scary for me (so I prefer kids 10 and up). My trainer thinks I may actually become an amazing kid dog with time (I do love the endless attention, so I am considering accepting this idea 🤔).

I'm looking for someone who understands that my beginning wasn't easy & that I still need a little help navigating this big world. I do best with kind boundaries, consistency, patience & people who celebrate my victories.
