How did you determine your Adoption Fees?

The #1 question we get asked about our adoption fees is “why are they so high.” It is quite costly to run a rescue between vet bills, providing supplies for our fosters, and even paying for things like advertising! We’ve created a quick breakdown so you can see how much it costs for us to rescue! (Keep in mind this is just what is costs us to save one dog, this does not include those other expenses like advertising!)

Where do your rescue dogs come from?

Our rescue dogs come from a variety of locations, including Texas, New Mexico, and right here within Colorado. We work closely with overcrowded shelters and rescue organizations in these areas to save dogs in need. Many of our rescues come from situations where they face limited resources, overpopulation, or risk of euthanasia. By partnering with these regions, we’re able to provide these deserving dogs with a second chance at life, ensuring they find loving forever homes.

Is there an age requirement to adopt?

Yes, there is an age requirement to adopt—applicants must be 21 years or older. This policy helps ensure that adopters are prepared for the responsibilities of pet ownership and can provide a stable, loving home for their new furry family member.

Can I adopt if i live in an appartment?

Absolutely! Living in an apartment doesn’t disqualify you from adopting. What matters most is your ability to provide a safe, loving, and suitable environment for the dog. Many of our rescue dogs thrive in apartments, especially with regular exercise, mental stimulation, and lots of love. We’re happy to help match you with a dog that fits your lifestyle and living situation!

How many dogs can I adopt?

Most of Colorado has a legal limit of 4 dogs per household, so it’s important to check your local regulations before adopting. At our rescue, we do allow you to adopt more than one dog at a time, provided they are not siblings. This is because littermate syndrome, a condition that can arise when sibling dogs are raised together, can lead to behavioral and developmental challenges. Our goal is to ensure every adoption is a success, both for the dogs and their new families, by creating safe and healthy matches.

Do you offer discounts?

Yes, we proudly offer discounts! Military personnel, first responders, and seniors receive 20% off adoption fees as a token of our appreciation for their service and contributions. Additionally, we have special sales and promotions from time to time, so keep an eye out for opportunities to save while giving a rescue dog a loving home. It’s our way of making adoption accessible and celebrating our community!

Is the adoption fee refundable if a dog does not work in my home?

No, the adoption fee is not refundable if a dog does not work out in your home. However, we are committed to ensuring the best match for both you and the dog. If challenges arise, we’re here to provide guidance, resources, and support to help with the transition. If rehoming becomes necessary, we will work with you to bring the dog back into our care and find them a more suitable home.
