Meet Mickie! 🐾

Mickie is a sweet puppy with a gentle personality who’s growing more confident every day. He’s still working on potty training and is making good progress. He does well using puppy pads and, with consistency and patience, should continue to improve.

Like most puppies his age, Mickie is teething and loves chewing on durable bones to soothe his gums. While stuffed toys don’t hold his attention for long, he enjoys playing and socializing with other dogs. He’s also great with kids. His experience with cats is unknown.

Mickie is learning all the important puppy basics. He’s still working on his leash walking skills and has just started learning “sit.” He’s also learning good manners around mealtime, including that people food isn’t for puppies and not to try to take food while you’re eating. He’s a smart little guy who responds well to patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.

At home, Mickie is becoming braver and more comfortable exploring his surroundings. He can still be a little shy when meeting new people or experiencing unfamiliar places, so he’ll do best with a family that understands he’s still building confidence and is willing to continue his socialization.

At bedtime, Mickie loves sleeping in bed with his people. He also does well in a crate, especially if another dog is nearby, making him a great candidate for a home with a canine companion.
