🐾 Meet Jed — Professional Cuddler, Part-Time Goofball & Full-Time Nosy Neighbor

Hi! My name is Jed, and I enjoy long walks, cozy couches, supervising everything my humans do, and being told that I am, in fact, NOT supposed to love nibbles my people.

I’m a big guy with an even bigger personality- and I’m basically a lovable, goofy dude who is still figuring out this whole “how to dog” thing. 🤣

I didn’t exactly have the best start in life. I was found with severe injuries that were believed to have been caused by humans. But look at me now! ❤️ I’m healthy, happy, and making huge leaps and bounds as I learn that the world isn’t such a scary place after all.

I’m a very smart boy… although sometimes my common sense department appears to be closed for renovations. 🫣 😂 I can be nervous about random things like brooms, shovels, or even a fly swatter. I just need someone patient who will help me understand that these strange human objects aren't out to get me.

I’m also a little… shall we say..... socially awkward. 😬 I get excited around other dogs, but when they get too close, I’m not always sure what I’m supposed to do with them. I can be selective, especially with male dogs, so introductions need to be slow, thoughtful, and supervised. I actually do really well taking a walk with other dogs and people, and I’m much more comfortable when they give me some personal space. About 5-8 feet away? Perfect. I can mind my own business from there. 😎

I walk pretty nicely on a leash without much pulling. Pulling usually only happens when I'm doing one of my silly circles beside you, cause I think it's cute and will get me some giggles & pets, cause I absolutely LOVE attention from my people.

And speaking of people… I am a professional cuddler. If you’re giving me the goodest back scratches, I may hook my paw and head around your leg. It's basically my goofy, but adorable version of a hug. ❤️

Sometimes I demand attention by barking at you. I promise I'm not trying to be rude- I’m just terrible at socializing and apparently never learned how to politely say, “Excuse me, I would like attention now please.” 🤣 But hey, I’m working on it!

Oh, and that little nibbling thing? I’m part Heeler, so occasionally I think your ankles need some light quality-control testing. I respond well when told not too, although I may occasionally talk back & thrown a goofy tantrum about it because apparently I have opinions. 😂

Kiddos- I bark & back up sometimes- well, because toddlers can be scary 👀 I haven't reacted in a mean way, but I'm just unsure of the little humans. I do walk nicely with them present though and don't pay them any mind while at a park.

At the end of the day, I’m just a big, goofy, affectionate boy looking for someone who will give me patience, structure, guidance, and a whole lot of love.

I’ve already overcome so much. Now I’m looking for my person who will help me keep learning, keep growing, and finally get the happy life I deserve.
