Timber

DOB: 07/11/2024
SEX: Male
BREED: Pit Bull Mix

With his sleek black coat, white tuxedo chest, and striking glacier-blue eyes, Timber is a true head-turner that is sweet, playful, snuggly boy looking for a patient and loving home. Originally rescued from Texas, Timber has been learning that the world is a safe and loving place. He’s energetic, affectionate, and full of personality. He thrives on outdoor walks just as much as he loves settling down for cozy evenings by your side. His loyal nature and gentle eyes make him an incredible companion. He can be a little timid when first meeting new people, especially men, but give him a bit of time and gentle trust-building and he blossoms into a total lovebug who will make you laugh daily. He tends to warm up quickly to women, kids, and other dogs, and is already learning to trust with gentle encouragement. He adores other dogs and is always eager to play but gets excited when he sees potential new doggy friends out on walks. He’s still learning about cats and will need time, structure, and a dedicated owner to help him learn to coexist peacefully with them. This charming, good-natured boy loves to play chase in the yard, tug, fetch (though still working on the retrieval part), cuddle under the covers or on the couch, and follow his people everywhere. Timber is house trained, has good leash etiquette and knows basic commands such as “sit”, “down”, “place”, “wait”, “stay”, “leave it”, “spin”, “touch”, “shake”, and “come”. He exhibits crate anxiety when left alone which could be worked through once he feels safe and secure. He is impressively well behaved, eager to please and learning more every day. Once he bonds with you, he’s all in – your loyal shadow who just wants to be wherever his people are. Timber will thrive with a patient, consistent adopter (with a fur-sibling) who’s willing to continue his training and help him build confidence. In return, he’ll offer endless devotion, loyalty, and the joy of watching a once-timid dog blossom into a loving, confident companion
