Rufus is just about the happiest little dude on the planet. He's still a baby, learning how to feel confident with alone time, and starting to get the hang of where to use the bathroom (but he knows that the okay places are outside and on puppy pads). He's extremely intelligent, though, and picks up on new skills quickly. He approaches his puzzle toy as if he's cracking a safe. He bounds straight into his two-year-old foster brother as if he honestly believes they can merge into one being, but when big brother gives him gentle but clear signals that boundaries are important, Rufus listens. He kisses his brother to apologize, then rolls onto his back, then gets back up and gives the big guy some space.

Rufus has the legs of a supermodel and is likely going to end up being a very large dog (or a moderately sized horse). He would benefit from an active home, but he also knows how to keep you company quietly from his perch on a comfy dog bed. He already knows to use biting only for delicious treats and sturdy toys. He'd make a great addition to a moderately or even very active human household.
