BROOKE AND FAMILY

🐾 Foster Spotlight: Meet Brooke! 🐾

This month, we’re celebrating Brooke as our Foster Spotlight! 🎉 From a spontaneous decision to sign up as a foster to becoming an incredible part of the KCK family, Brooke’s journey is nothing short of inspiring.

"Hi, I'm Brooke! I started fostering this past October. It was kinda spontaneous—I had followed Karl’s after seeing them outside my local Petco. At first, I just wanted to look at the cute adoptable pups, but when I saw they needed fosters, I signed up! My girl, Pepper, was a foster when I adopted her, so it was a full-circle moment for her to become a foster sister to others.

So far, I’ve fostered two pups, and—confession time—I foster failed with my second, Merida! 🐶💕 Growing up, I always loved dogs, but seeing these shut-down babies finally feel safe enough to learn how to be a dog is the best feeling. Saying goodbye is the hardest part, but knowing they will be loved in their furever homes makes it all worth it.

Nick, my fiancé, and I moved to Colorado in late 2023 with our sassy heeler mix, Pepper. We’re originally from Central Illinois but also spent two years in Georgia for work. We moved here to be closer to friends and for a change of scenery—from endless cornfields and Georgia humidity to the beauty of Colorado!

When I’m not spending time with Pep and Merida playing, training, and binge-watching shows, I love puzzles, crafts, video games, cooking, baking, and hanging out with friends. I’m so grateful to have found Karl’s Canine Krew and to be part of such an amazing community helping so many incredible pups!"

We are beyond grateful to have Brooke as part of the KCK family! Her love and dedication to fostering have already changed lives, and we can't wait to see her continue making a difference. Thank you, Brooke, for all that you do! ❤️🐾
