Elly is the sweetest girl and has a lot of puppy left in her! She is shy when you first get to know her and cowers away from men. But with patience, treats and ignoring her, she comes around and will be your best pal especially if you give her belly rubs! Everybody that meets her falls in love with her.

She LOVES to run and would benefit from a family with a yard. She is slowly learning how to fetch and knows some basic commands. She is create, potty and doggy door trained. She is a people pleaser and responds well to treats and over excited positive reinforcement but definitely needs consistency in training.

She gets along with other dogs however she does exhibit some resource guarding and if there is another dog around, she will insert herself for all of the attention. She has shown interest in our cat, but the cat doesn't like her so we haven't had any problems. We do not have any children or have young people visiting our house so unsure if she gets along with children and is spooked with loud abrupt noises.

She likes all the attention and sticks to family with all the snuggles and love. Due to this, Elly can suffer from some separation anxiety which manifests into whining and destroying paper. So hide those books, mail and magazines if left alone in the house!

She vocalizes appropriately when strangers approach the house and protects the house from squirrels. Other than that she is pretty quiet.

Elly sleeps through the night with you at the end of the bed in her dog bed.

She is the perfect size at 30lbs and you can't help but fall in love with her beautiful golden eyes.
